For Hattingh, drawing an attitude to making artworks that combine both physical gesture and personal visualisation’s, is deeply rooted with cartoon-like characters that enact fictionalised narratives. Hattingh is a lecturer in drawings, 3-D design and sculpture at the College of Cape Town. She is also a freelance illustrator and has illustrated several children`s books as well as a television advertisement for ITV (UK).
